The Challenge
The Institute of Travel and Meetings (ITM) is the recognised body for business travel, representing over 1,000 buyer and supplier members from six UK and Ireland regions. Membership represents nearly 50% of the FTSE 100, major government departments and NGOs and major limited liability partnerships such as law firms and accountants.
Every year the ITM holds an annual conference to inform, engage, and stimulate its members as well as providing networking between key movers and shakers within the industry. The delegates at the 2011 conference spent just short of £10,000,000,000 annually on business travel and included every major provider in the sector.
As ever providing a positive return/outcome is important for any conference attendee, whether a corporate buyer, a supplier or indeed a sponsor. Placing a financial value on the return of any conference attendance is difficult to do and is unique to each attendee. Innergy were invited to do a slot at the conference around the conference theme of ‘Intelligence’ and focused on Emotional Intelligence and its impact on performance.
The Solution
Innergy worked with the conference organising committee to develop a bespoke, highly interactive session which would create high levels of energy and delegate engagement, and move people around. The session added an extra dynamic to the overall delegate experience while challenging the thinking of delegates in terms of what and how emotional intelligence impacts personal and team effectiveness and performance.
The Outcome
The outcome of the session on day one of the conference was a high energy session which involved every member of the audience in a fun, engaging and informative way. Delegate feedback was unanimously positive.
"Innergy were fantastic!" Gail Kenny, Managing Director and Delegate
What they said..
"We asked Innergy to speak at our 2011 ITM National Conference and to run an interactive, dynamic and engaging session relating to our chosen topic of emotional intelligence. Innergy ran a high energy session that created some noise and delivered exactly what we needed. They were very professional and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others."
