Latest Community News: Leadership in Learning

Innergy believes in taking a very active role in community activities, supporting charities and working directly with local and national projects.

As such, we have committed to dedicating both time and money to these projects continuously throughout the year, providing all Innergy staff with an additional 2 days of leave per year to work on charitable and community projects.

Our objective is to provide others the opportunity to exercise their potential in both their work and personal lives by using our energy and expertise.

Supporting Charities

Since 2006, Innergy has elected to actively support the ForeverTJ Tribute Fund.

The Forever TJ Tribute Fund has been set up in loving memory of Toby James (TJ) Osborne, in partnership with the Royal United Hospital (RUH)'s Forever Friends Appeal (charity number 1058323) in Bath, England.

Dedicated to the development of the RUH's Newborn Intensive Care Unit, all monies raised by the Forever TJ Tribute Fund will go directly to support the assiduous work of its 44 staff and practitioners, as well as provide much needed medical equipment for the many newly born babies that pass through the unit each week.

The staff of Innergy supported the fund through donations, a charity ball and a half marathon, and to date has raised more than £15,000 to the RUH to purchase life-saving equipment for the Newborn Intensive care Unit.

Supporting Local Communities

The Oomph™ programs were created to enable young adults, between 14 and 18 years of age, to develop the key skills and attitudes they need to exercise their full potential both now and into the future.

Each of our programs aims to develop key life skills such as self-awareness, communication, interpersonal skills and self-esteem in an exciting and challenging environment, outside of the classroom.

We find that the use of action-centred learning engages students more, and enhances the learning process, as well as making it fun!

For some of our more senior students on our programs, we offer a series of interactive entrepreneur development programs to prepare them for life after education.

All Oomph™ programs are self-funded by Innergy, and supported by local businesses and schools.

Supporting International Communities

Following a recent visit to some of the local townships of South Africa, Innergy are delighted to announce their involvement and sponsorship of the Wolverines, a local rugby team that is playing a significant role in the unification and development of locals in that area.

Any sport can play a significant role in bringing communities closer together and enabling younger generations to focus their energies away from trouble towards building a positive future for themselves, their families and their communities.

The Wolverines rugby club in George, South Africa, who cannot even afford to buy rugby boots or shirts for their players, have embraced that philosophy well and a group of international businessmen have come together to offer support and funding to their mission, Innergy being one of those.
